Skin Rejuvenation and Wrinkles Q&A
What is the UltraClear® laser?
The UltraClear® laser is a cutting-edge fractional skin resurfacing technology that delivers remarkable results with less downtime than traditional ablative lasers. Its versatility allows it to address a wide range of skin concerns, including:
- Uneven texture
- Dull complexion
- Sun damage
- Age spots
- Fine lines
- Wrinkles
- Deep collagen remodeling
- Acne scars and more
The UltraClear® laser’s advanced technology delivers quick micro-pulses, reducing discomfort compared to other ablative procedures. With customizable settings, treatments are tailored to each patient’s unique needs, ensuring both safety and efficacy.
How does the UltraClear® laser work?
The UltraClear® laser is an ablative fractional laser that targets the skin with microscopic columns of energy, stimulating the body's natural healing process. Unlike CO2 lasers, the UltraClear® laser uses a cold fiber laser, delivering less heat to the skin. This reduces the risk of damage to surrounding tissues and makes it safer for patients with skin of color.
Its micro-pulse technology allows for precise treatments with less discomfort and shorter downtime compared to fully ablative lasers. Customizable settings ensure safe, effective treatments tailored to each patient's needs.
How long will my treatment take?
Each treatment area (e.g., full face, neck, and/or chest) typically takes 10-20 minutes.
How much downtime can I expect?
“Social” downtime varies patient-to-patient. Typically, patients report redness and a “sunburn” sensation on the day of treatment. The "sunburn” sensation varies in degree and duration from patient to patient but typically resolves within a few hours.
The redness typically fades between days 1-3 post-treatment and is followed by natural exfoliation on days 3-6, improving fine lines, wrinkles, acne scars, discoloration, and more. Use of tinted mineral sunscreen and/or make-up may typically begin on day 4 post-treatment.
